Project Miere are a family of performing artists with kapa haka as the base, the music is Maori in its origin with infusions of influence from jazz and folk to soul, funk and reggae.

Music is the vehicle we use for intergenerational teaching and learning within our family so it was only natural to develop into the group we are today.

Why Project Miere?

Our eldest daughter's name is Miere meaning Honey which has been the biggest catalyst for us as a whanau in terms of looking at the future and like worker bees we have hopes and aspirations that we weave into our songs and stories in hopes of producing that sweetness you can only get from nature.
