Kōwhai Grove

Kōwhai Grove is the largest event Tyan have organised so far, but no different to the rest in our aim to provide a space for people to be safe, have fun, and be themselves.

We have zero tolerance for sexual harassment, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism, violence, hate speech or anything else deemed inappropriate. Consent is sexy, anything but an enthusiastic, sober yes, is a no. 

If you experience or witness any of the above, no matter how small it may seem, please notify a member of the Kōwhai crew so we can help.

In short, be a good, kind, accepting person or you will be removed from this and any future events.

CAMPING + FAQ

Camping is of course permitted, vehicles and tents welcome. Space is somewhat limited so don’t be greedy! 

No BBQs or gas cookers, this area of the country and time of year are at high risk of fires. Our chill zone, being amongst pine trees and especially susceptible to fires, will be a smoke free zone. 

This is an alcohol free event, we are here to celebrate music and people, it’s worth remembering after all.

We are incredibly lucky to have the option of having this celebration on beautiful land, in order for this to continue we need to respect it! You will be provided with rubbish bags upon entry, and are expected to take all of your rubbish with you. We will also have bins on site to help out. No glass will be allowed in, cars will be searched at the gate.

Drivers be sensible! Some of you will of course be driving home on Sunday evening, make sure you’ve had some sleep and take rest stops, no matter how eager you are for your own bed, taking half an hour to nap will always be worth it.
